Kiara Cursio

Kiara holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and applies a strong,

evidence-informed foundation to her practice.

She has undertaken specialised training in DIR Floortime, Sensory Integration, Therapeutic Listening, feeding therapy and a range of handwriting and visual-motor integration assessments. She works with children and adolescents from infancy through to 18 years of age, with a particular focus on supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism, ADHD and PDA profiles.

Kiara has a strong interest in addressing combined sensory and musculoskeletal challenges such as posture, core strength, upper limb function, gross motor coordination, endurance and sensory processing, as well as emotional regulation, executive functioning and school-based skills like handwriting, attention and classroom participation. She enjoys integrating these areas into functional, child-centred therapy that supports meaningful participation in everyday life.

Collaboration is central to Kiara’s practice. She works closely with families, schools and educators, and has delivered presentations to school teams, sharing practical strategies to support regulation, engagement and learning within classroom environments.

In addition to her clinical role, Kiara is an Assistant Team Leader at Hope Kids OT. She

contributes to mentorship, service development and operational procedures that strengthen clinical practice and team delivery.

Kiara is deeply aligned with human-first, family-centred philosophy and is passionate about helping children and young people feel capable, confident and supported across home, school and community environments.
