Paediatric Endocrinologist
Dr Kim Chin is a Paediatric Endocrinologist specialising in the care of children and adolescents with hormone-related conditions, including thyroid disorders, puberty and growth concerns, bone health conditions, and adrenal disorders.
Background & Experience
Kim completed her Paediatric Endocrinology training at The Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital. She holds dual fellowship qualifications in General Paediatrics and Paediatric Endocrinology and has extensive experience working within multidisciplinary teams across both hospital and community healthcare settings.
Her training has also included Adolescent Medicine and Community Child Health, providing her with a broad understanding of the physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs of children and young people.
Kim is currently a Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist at Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital (Western Health) and Austin Health, where she provides specialist care for children and adolescents with endocrine disorders and diabetes.

Kim is committed to delivering holistic, family-centred care. She values partnering with patients and their families to achieve the best possible health outcomes, recognising the unique developmental stages and challenges experienced throughout childhood and adolescence.
She particularly enjoys supporting families from the time of diagnosis through to ongoing management, helping them navigate complex health conditions with confidence and understanding.
Outside of work
Outside of medicine, Kim is the mother of two energetic daughters. She enjoys running, pilates, reading, travelling, and spending quality time with her family.
