Lena Tan is a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychologist with extensive experience supporting children, teenagers and families through a range of emotional, social, and developmental challenges. Lena completed her undergraduate studies at Monash University and holds a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology from the University of Melbourne.
​
With a career spanning both public and private settings, Lena has worked in schools, hospitals, government organisations, assessment and counselling centres, along within clinical private practice. She specialises in anxiety and anger management, depression, emotional regulation, Autism, ADHD, cognitive and learning difficulties, and parenting support. Lena is highly skilled in conducting Autism, ADHD, and cognitive assessments and has experience working with NDIS clients.

Lena takes a family-focussed approach, offering counselling, intervention strategies, and parenting support to help children and adolescents navigate behavioural, social, and emotional difficulties. She is a registered member of AHPRA and the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

As a parent of three, Lena understands the complexities of raising children and enjoys balancing her professional expertise with her personal experiences. Outside of work she loves coffee, cooking, shopping, and traveling to Australia’s beautiful beach towns. Some of her favourite family holiday destinations include Robe (South Australia), Niagara Falls (Canada), and New York (USA). Lena also enjoys watching her children play volleyball, soccer and baseball.

Referrals
All referrals will require an Initial session that is attended by the parent(s) only. Lena accepts the following referrals:

Private/Parental/Legal Guardian referral

Paediatrician referral

Mental Health Care Plans

NDIS
Autism Assessments
A multi-disciplinary approach is taken when assessing Autism. It is done in partnership with a paediatrician or psychiatrist. Prior to accepting the referral, a paediatrician referral must be received by the clinic.
