Dr Monique Peris is a general paediatrician with expertise in acute and chronic paediatric
conditions related to developmental, behavioural, and general paediatrics. She completed her medical training in New South Wales before moving to Victoria to complete paediatric training through the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. Monique is a member of the Australasian Society for Developmental Paediatrics.

Monique has a strong clinical focus on long-term neurodevelopmental follow-up and support for infants and families who have experienced prolonged hospitalisation, working with families through The Royal Women’s Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital services. Monique has particular interest in infant medicine and supporting families through early life challenges including sleep, settling and feeding. In 2024, she completed advanced training in Infant Mental Health and is a member of the World Association for Infant Mental Health.
Alongside her clinical work, Monique is a Research Fellow at Monash University and completed a research masters through The University of Melbourne and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, studying early neurodevelopment and causal pathways of cerebral palsy. She is a reviewer for Raising Children’s Network, translating research into practical guidance for families.
Monique works closely with families to understand each child’s strengths and challenges and practices holistic, family centred care.
