Dr Simon Tamblyn, MBBS, FRACP 

General Paediatrician

 

Clinical Interests: Simon enjoys providing comprehensive care to children from birth up to 18 years of age, addressing both new and longstanding medical issues. His special interests include Incontinence/Bedwetting, Constipation, Eczema, Asthma, ADHD, and Early Childhood Development.

 

Background and Training: Simon completed his medical degree at Monash University in 2014. His paediatric training spans across various hospitals in Victoria, including prominent tertiary institutions like The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) and Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH). His dedication to medical education led to appointments as the Chief Resident Medical Officer at both RCH and MCH. Simon has also contributed as an educator at Monash University and the University of Melbourne.

 

Approach to Care: Committed to patient-centred care, Simon believes that clear communication is paramount in paediatrics. Recognising the value of multidisciplinary assessments, he has fostered strong relationships with numerous paediatric subspecialists.

 

Hospital Appointments: Simon holds appointments at Frankston Hospital, Monash Children’s Hospital, Eastern Health, and Sandringham Hospital.

 

Beyond Medicine: Outside of medicine, Simon is a proud father who finds joy in parenthood. He enjoys reading and is a passionate cricket fan.
